About
Let’s face it. We’re all busy. Life has gotten hectic these days, but couldn’t we all use a little more in our lives? A little more time, a little more money, a little more energy, and yes, on most days, a little more sanity!
My name is Andrea Spenser and I believe in being “efficient” when it comes to the things that have to get done in my busy day, so that I have time, money and energy left over for the things that mean the most in my life. My motto has always been “work smarter, not harder”! I love to find shortcuts so that I can accomplish things quicker, easier, and with less impact on my wallet!
I am a happily married mom of two awesome kids. They lead active lives and they keep me running, but my time spent with them ranks among my favorite moments of the day. I also have a 20 year old cat that has a bit of an identity crisis and thinks he’s a dog most of the time!
Now, don’t get me wrong, I am not a ‘slacker-mom’. I own my own business, am home for my kids at the end of the school day, make a great chauffeur and I’m usually one of the first people thought of when an activity needs to be organized, because I can get it done and get it done right. I can do all of this because I have found some great ways to keep my family fed, to keep the health department from showing up at my front door and to keep everything in order, while still leaving enough time in my day (and enough sanity!) to focus on what’s important to me.
Why did I start this site? Because life’s too short not to do the things you want to do! If some of the tips I’ve discovered along the way help you get the ‘have-to-do’s’ in your life done quicker and easier so you can focus on the ‘want-to-do’s’, then I am happy to share them!
As you read through the tips on this site, there’s just one thing I ask of you (well, maybe two). Let’s keep this between friends. No need for the hubbies, or even the kids, to know that our life is sometimes easier than we lead them to believe! After all, it’s hard enough to get a word of praise or appreciation when you’re a mom anyway, so why blow what little we get? And please strive to remove the phrase “if only I had time, I’d …” from your conversations. Make the time for what makes you happy. Life passes too quickly to spend it worrying about the dust bunnies and what’s for dinner tonight. Get the things that have to get done out of the way and get on with living the best life you can!
